Cheryl and her husband, Jim, have three adorable children. She enjoys spending time engaging in sports such as basketball and biking with her family. Cheryl is very physically active and loves to run, hike, kayak, and participate in other outdoor activities.
Cheryl received her Master of Science degree in Counselor Education from Indiana University in 1998. She received her Indiana State Licensure in Mental Health Counseling in 2001. Cheryl has worked as a clinician in an acute care psychiatric facility for most of her career. As a result, Cheryl is well versed in a variety of treatment modalities to utilize while working with severe depression and anxiety. She has a strong emphasis on Family Systems therapy and uses Brief, Milan, Strategic and Structural Family Therapies to assist her clients and their families. Cheryl has completed Level 1 and Level 2 Clinical Training of Gottman Method Couples Therapy.
Cheryl has also worked with children that have severe depression, anxiety, and oppositional behaviors as well as impulse control problems. She has Nonviolent Crisis Intervention Certification and is a Preadmission Screening and Resident Review/Mental Illness Level 2 evaluator. Additionally, she belongs to the National Board of Certified Counselors.
Cheryl has coordinated services with staff at The Santé Group, Inc. for years and decided to join the group in 2013. She offers evening and Saturday hours for her clients’ convenience.
