Amelia loves her rural life with her 4 children, pets, and 4H animals. She keeps busy attending school functions with her daughters.
Amelia graduated with a Master's of Science degree in Mental Health Counseling in 2010 from Indiana University. She did her undergraduate work at Bowling Green State University and received her Bachelor's of Arts degree in Sociology and Psychology in 2007. She has over 15 years experience working in the field of mental health and in school systems. She is currently the Mental Health Consultant for Vistula Head Start in Steuben and LaGrange Counties. She has worked as a school counselor advocating for children and coordinating services for children and families.
Amelia is a client focused, empathic and energetic individual with a passion for serving others by providing tools and opportunities to identify personal goals and potential solutions to emotional turmoil. She is dedicated to helping others improve communication skills and coping strategies along with improving their self-esteem to promote behavior changes resulting in a higher level of self satisfaction.
Amelia is part of the Play Therapy community and loves working with children ages 3 and up.
Amelia is Level 2 trained in Gottman Method Couples Therapy and works with couples regularly. She enjoys helping them see the deeper meaning behind conflict and creating a compromise where both partners are honored.
