Connie enjoys keeping up with her very energetic and sweet young son. She also likes reading inspirational books and doing crafts in her free time.
Connie received her master’s degree from Capella University in the spring of 2016 and completed her internship at The Santé Group, Inc. During this time, she was able to gain invaluable experience by sitting in sessions with all of our therapists. Connie is working toward her licensure in Marriage and Family Therapy. She enjoys working with couples and families and using a family systems approach. Connie has a history of working in the medical field as a pediatric and geriatric nurse. She has done in-home health care as well as nursing home care.
Connie offers services specific to clients in need of Anger Management. Connie leads an Anger Management Group utilizing an Acceptance and Commitment Therapy approach. She assists clients in understanding the sources of their anger and how to more effectively cope with anger both individually and from a group therapy approach.
Connie has experience working with the Department of Child Services (DCS). She has offered family therapy both in home and in the office to clients who are working with DCS. She also provided support services in both LaGrange and Steuben County Head Start programs. With these two community services, Connie has acquired experience working with at-risk families coordinating services and utilizing her family systems background.
